Knowing dates is good for tracking animals migration cycles for hunting, and to know when things are going to become either very hot or very cold.

There's also moon phases. In the Pacific they only planted certain things when the moon looked a specific way. Same with fishing and hunting.
I came to say that. The phases of the moon are VERY important for hunting, probably fishing too. When it's brighter at night it's easier to find critters, and when it's darker it's easier to sneak up on them. A VERY good reason to track a 28 day cycle, I'd say.
That huge building in North America which tracked the moon's motion is impressive. It even accounted for a cycle not figured out by us until the 20th century, iirc. (They thought it wasn't accurate, but it was more accurate than the data back then)

Food stamps annually is like three times the Argentina nonsense. And four hundred and eighty times more than whatever that "ballroom" thing is, which is privately funded. FOUR HUNDRED AND EIGHTY TIMES. So, if you think the ballroom is silly...can we at least talk about federal food stamp spending, libs?!
Also...not even sure where they're getting their numbers. I don't think that's annual. Not sure if it's over ten years or what, but ICE was ~10b, now might be 30b-40b...still well under food stamps.
