You can make them do anything, because this constant cowing across a lifetime has left their personality and opinions fluid as it needs to be changeable at a moment's notice. This is also why a lot of Leftist beliefs, like a good religion, needs a "devil" that can be forever and permanently below them that they can not only feel strong about rejecting (agreeing with everyone would get noticed in the brain, so they need one to say "nu uh, I listen to those who matter only") but also give them a bashing post to argue against and make themselves feel more secure in the beliefs they downloaded.
This is why they obsess over figuring out if you are a "wrongthinker" before anything, because they need to know if you are someone to assault or bow to. They don't ask "will others be OK with me thinking this?" They ask "is what he is saying on the approved list? that would make him an approved person to inform me because I am retarded."
"Higher status" men usually know their own worth, whether in success, charisma or just straight physical strength, so they can more readily parse who is and isn't worth listening to and keep the list short enough that their beliefs can solidify into confidence. And we know confidence bleeds into everything you do. They still can be changed by those they consider valuable to them (how many "alpha" men still treat their mothers as god? a huge amount), and that's what makes them often more successful.
