I briefly had a neighbor in college who was a retired NYPD captain, told me plenty of stories. He hated cop shows for making them look like a bunch of "knuckle-dragging guineas."

I don't need cop shows to think cops are knuckle-draggers. There are enough real-life examples to pick from.
