Fighting against partisans is always a messy business. But believing they were so called 'death squads' is akin to believing in masturbation machines.
There were a lot of Ukrainian volunteers in the German armed forces. Also most Russians fought for Stalin despite getting brutalized and murdered for decades by the Bolshevists.
The same punishment the people got who used the masturbation machines.
It's just history. They acted the way you'd expect the special forces of someone who believed that Slavs were 'subhumans' to act.
I assume you also deny that more than 90% of Russian POWs were murdered or starved by the Nazis? Also an accident? Or it didn't happen?
Little Russians (what you call Ukrainians) has been brutalized far more, due to it being the agricultural heartland of the USSR. And yet they fought for Stalin, because they recognized that to Slavs, Hitler was the greater evil.
I'm impressed with this level of denial.
Considering that Russian POWs had a tendency to get executed once they returned home, yes. Germany needed the workforce. They couldn't afford to kill everyone. Also there was the issue of the carpet bombing of Germany that caused all supply chains to collapse. And POW camps were also regularly bombed by the Brits and the Americans.
So sorry if I'm not going to buy in the stories the Soviet Union has been peddling.
Which is utter fucking bullshit. You had Ukrainians fighting for Germany, you had Ukrainians in the Red Army and you had a Ukrainian partisan army that fought against Germany, the Soviet Union and against the Polish because they wanted Ukrainian independence.
To pretend that the Ukrainians were staunchly on Stalins side is utterly fucking ridiculous to say the least. If the Germans were such beasts in Easterrn Europe they would have had significantly more problems with partisans than they actually did. They couldn't have achieved fuck all without local support.
And stop calling Ukrainians 'Little Russians'. That's fucking retarded.
If you want to believe that the Germans excavated over 30.000 corpses with a couple hundred people and managed to burn and grind everything to ash so there wasn't actually any physical proof left... seriously? If the Russians hadn't admitted to committing the Katyn massacre you probably would still believe the Germans are responsible for it.
If you want me to believe shit give me actual hard proof and not some ridiculous Soviet propaganda. The Soviet Union is the least trustworthy party of the entire war. By a long shot.
