Well, the world is getting greener due to higher CO2, not "browner" (The term for desertification, eh?) according to NASA.

But yes, China and India continue to build coal power stations while the rest of the world is told to "reduce CO2" at exorbitant cost. Both have increased the % of their grid's coal power in the past few years.

The Paris Pledge from China was to double their CO2 by 2030 and then they promise to start reductions. Also the Obama Agreement gave them permission too.
