The offender was escorted away by private security hired by the streamer herself, not twitch security. They have yet to find the perp, but twitch supposedly banned him (meaning twitch knows who he is and haven't notified police).
Twitch had dealt with stalkers before, and their response was to ban the private security guards who fought off the creeps. They put out messaging claiming their security is top notch, then blame the victims for not moderating their streams, as if that does anything to stop real creeps at real meetups.
The incompetence and deflection, combined with the business model of twitch streams, leads me to believe twitch knows who their primary audience is: stalkers and molesters willing to fork over 5$ to get the streamer to say their name.

Protect the good and innocent. Sure.
But.. cant protect those that does risky things or dont want to be protected or tell you you are racist or sexist for trying to protect.

sex has nothing to do with it. even when people are engaged in degenerate shit, stocking and sexual assault are universally frowned upon, with good reason.
projecting a subset of a demographic onto the whole demographic is low IQ thinking.
to put it in the context of this conversation, less than 60% of women voted Democrat in the last three elections. even if we round it up to 60%, and assume (very generously) that every single one of those Democrat voters was a hyper feminist open borders lunatic, that's still 40% of women that you are throwing under the bus because the other 60% are retarded. put another way, in the United States that's approximately 67 million people you are condemning, despite the fact that they either did nothing wrong, or even opposed the retarded 60%.
it's far more practical to assess the person who got attacked on her own.
