Sometimes I get the impression there is a stupidity requirement for becoming a politician. This is one of those times.
Our system is designed to choose the most socially and emotionally manipulative people. Capability, intelligence, integrity, etc are not chosen for. Just what looks and sounds the prettiest and can work the system the hardest. Ultimately this is what democracies always come down to, regardless of whether the democracy is fake or not.
Only for those that can't meme.
