The only Leftist that isn't an accelerationist is a Fabian Socialist. They intentionally slow down knowing that it's hard to fight a man who isn't throwing punches.
All the others, particularly the Communists, support acceleration to Leftism. The May Day celebration comes from the May Day riots when Communists went to a DemSoc minimum wage protest, stood behind the protestors, threw dynamite over their heads and into the police, causing the police to fire on the protestors. The Communists use this to radicalize more SocDems to their cause and turned it into a Communist holiday. That's the definition of accelerationism.
