I literally don't understand the issue with most of this shit. I mean I get that some people are just bitching about muh white man bad.
But I'm willing to bet 80-90% of these artifacts IRL were found in abandoned dumps or dug up by the whites who actually gave a damn.
By all means, if white people stole into town in the middle of the night, murdered guards who were protecting the cultural icons, and stole it away, maybe it should be returned. But getting mad that I dug through your trash and found something nice is pathetic
Africa is this magical place that the White Man ravaged, stole from and ruined, but also they will never ever ever step foot there or even pretend to want to return to any of those cultures or traditions (even the fake ones made in America like Kwanzaa). So in order to look like they care, they need a cause to scream about while staying in their comfy little white cities.
And so, they fake giving a shit about these artifacts as if there is even a place to return them to that won't be destroyed in two weeks.
