Contrarian pseudo-intellectuals: the Nazis were good because they took down the banks which destroyed their country, as well as and got rid of the degeneracy which prevented people from caring about the destruction of their Nation.
Actual thinking men: the Nazis were an overreaction from a poor situation, correctly identifying the institutions which destroyed their country, but casting their net way too wide which caused a mass murder of innocents. they also bought into their own delusions of grandeur, which convinced them that carrying out a war on two fronts was a good idea. in the end, they murdered millions of innocent people, failed to stop the rise of communism, failed to take over europe, and left Germany in a worse State than when they had taken power.
Its always funny how many will scream about brainwashing NPC behavior, and then think the pinnacle of intelligence is going "the diametrical opposition of that, just as lacking in nuance or thought."
You just slipped back into the NPC full evil view there. The Germans believed the Soviets were preparing a backstab, so gambled on a preemptive backstab of their own.
It might have worked if not for the facts that wars are won by logistics and that the allegedly neutral US, the only great industrial power outside of bombing range, was sending supplies to the Soviets and British to keep them in the war. Just like how we're currently supplying the Ukrainians. Stalin even privately admitted as much, according to Khrushchev's memiors.

While at war with England. And they saw war with Russia as inevitable, so why not interrupt their offensive while they're still building up for it? It's a bad position to be in either way, but one at least takes the initiative.

No, the National Socialists never identified the institutions which destroyed their country because those institutions were the Socialist ones they seized, expanded, weaponized, and then suicided Germany with. Their delusions of grandeur were based on their Socialist meta-narrative and were inseparable from their ideas. The mass murder of innocents was, again, a core component of their Socialist meta-narrative and was unavoidable.
The National Socialists were never an over-reaction, as Hitler himself had attempted to portray the NSDAP as a more reformist or even centrist party that could ensure that Socialism could be done properly. His murder of Rohm was a desperate attempt to prove to the German people that the NSDAP could finally be moderated in it's violence, but still create a working Socialist country.
The NSDAP were the German people deluding themselves into thinking that they could get a form of soft-revolutionary Socialism right this time, and destroying 15 million German lives and every single major city for an inevitable failure.

That’s even if you believe in the death camps. Everyone knows that most Jews died via over exertion while working or died of starvation once Allies had shut down German supply lines. If anything America probably has more dead Jews on their hands than Germany
I'm not even talking about jews, I'm talking about dissidents in general. death camps aside, they hunted down anyone opposed to the Nazi party and imprisoned them without due process, assuming they weren't put to the firing squad. that was the literal role of the Gestapo.
