Islam is nothing like Christianity, and you can easily see that by looking at the civilizations and people that it produces.
Islam (and Judaism) produce civilizations that are incapable of coexisting peacefully with their neighbors, that seek to exterminate their populations and erase any trace of their existence. Christianity produces civilizations that generally view war as a bad thing, and, once a population has been defeated in war, is generally allowed to live. You can find monuments to Native American tribes all over the US that were built well before any "stolen land" guilt-riddled nonsense because even in defeat they were viewed with some respect.
Islam (and Judaism) both produce deceptive, manipulative people who believe that lying to non-believers is not only acceptable but encouraged by their Gods. Christianity produces reasonably honest people who are commanded to tell the truth to everyone.
Islam (and Judaism) are both authoritarian supremacist religions. Christianity is a universalist religion. Islam (and Judaism) both believe they are God's "chosen" people and that the rest of humanity is beneath them, to be subjugated or destroyed as necessary. Christianity believes that all people possess inalienable human rights and that all people are equal under the eyes of God.
There is no similarity between Christianity and the other Abrahamic religions other than sharing a few stories.
Islam is actually more akin to a caricature of Christianity. There are elements of Christianity in it, but they are often twisted and wrong. Frankly it is the perfect example of the deceiver made manifest and I think Kaarous is correct, that Islam worships the Christian devil; but at the same time they are completely ignorant of this, and believe that Allah and God are one and the same.
