from the description, it sounds like he was shooting into a window. if that's the case, unless a window was open, the possibility of a professional job could be eliminated.
Trained sharpshooters don't like shooting through windows because the ricochet is unpredictable and there's no guarantee their target will die.
Into a window?
Thus, they probably couldn't even tell it was detainees and not agents?
definitely a possibility, but I honestly doubt it. the shooter was able to see well enough to hit three targets.
