A) Raise the fee.
B) Raise the minimum wage of H1Bs. They were designed to be filling jobs of extremely niche fields that genuinely might not have American's available that are trained for them in sufficient quantities. Very high paying fields. Such as specialists in medicine. Force them to pay even higher wages to these individuals than it would cost to hire an American, and it will cause H1Bs to evaporate like water.
Exactly. Make it a mark of prestige. If you’re still worth hiring then you must be a fucking genius, the kind of person you do want to be poaching.
Facebook was recently paying $1.2billion for a top AI employee (4 year package). This is who should qualify.
H1B abuse became so rampant that they used it for call center employees
They also use it for truckers, which makes no sense at all.
It's funny that they use their money to influence universities on isreal but they somehow can't get degree programs to make the workers they need off the ground.
This is bullshit. If you can't find American's then move your business to where your favorite workers are. You don't get to run business in the land of the free if you're too weak to manage that business in the long term.
They destroy shit on purpose to make an excuse to do it worse and charge more. Fuck all that.
