They just got better at hiding it, ironically because of Gamergate. Remember how openly smug they acted during gg? They thought labeling someone a "shitlord" and "neckbeard" was all they needed to unperson someone. Remember how activists like Big Red became laughing stocks?
When those labels became ineffective, they escalated: racist, sexist, transphobe, alt-right, nazi, fascist, etc. But the desired outcome remained the same. They want us gone. "No bad tactics, only bad targets".
They became better at obfuscating their intentions, they hide behing platitudes and slogans
I think you meant violent, but the Left also spreads like a virus, so they are also virulent. All still true.
I think I'd like to add in some additional info about the history of Leftwing political violence.
I think this video of The angriest I've ever seen Michael Knowles get, shows what it looks like when a relative normie discovers the beginnings of just how bad it really is.
There have been 3 major periods of Leftist violence in America, and none of them are referred to as Leftwing terror campaigns.
All of these comprised hundreds if not thousands of shootouts, bombings, riots, assassinations, and more, normally as part of a wider terror campaign internationally. The most recent one, honestly, was the 2020 Black National Socialist Kristallnacht, which also expanded into Canada's Red Terror against Catholics and the burning of 16 churches, and the vandalization of 40 others.
Of all the major terrorist attacks or offensives in history, here's the ones nobody talks about, and were all Leftwing:
And just to be clear only The Wallstreet Bombing is even referred to as a Leftist Terrorist attack on Wikipedia.
There's so much more. It's unfathomable. Political violence from Leftist ideology represents the vast and sweeping majority of all political violence in American history. There are fucking enormous amounts of Leftist violence in America and history and absolutely none of them are affiliated with the Left. Here's a good one:
Jonestown was a Leftist suicide event. People don't even talk about the fact that Jim Jones was directly involved in California Democrat politics, including Diane Feinstein directly. Jonestown was a Leftist Commune. He decided to kill all of his followers when it appeared that the local government would have him arrested, and his appeals to the Soviet Union were rejected. When Jim Jones's men killed two US congressmen who came down to work with him on letting people go, that's when he decided to execute everyone.
I bet you no one in any documentary of any stripe ever said a word about how well Jim Jones was connected to the California Democrats, and how his cult was a Leftist organization.
And in a good example of how hard the Left Wing grip over a lot of historical events are, if you have ever seen anything related to Kent State, you would think it was some universally reviled event where everyone was siding with the students against the Guard. But in reality (and this has started to be pointed out more recently), polling in the aftermath of the event at the time show the majority of Americans actually sided with the Guard and favored the crackdown on the student protest. But good luck knowing that with any media on the matter.
Same thing with the Coal Wars, where I see so many of the usual suspects treat them as heroes when in reality they were thugs who had formed their own militias for the most part and it is why they needed military firepower to dig them out.
The one I always go to as well (just because it's personal) is the fact that so many of especially the Left Wing glaze John Brown (hence all of the "John Brown Gun Clubs"), even though he was a bloodthirsty psycho who failed at everything he tried. He was such a bad commander when he was in Kansas that no Jayhawk Militia's (the Free State militias) wanted to work with him, he was directly responsible for Bleeding Kansas escalating from a handful of skirmishes between light forces to a full scale mini-Civil War by executing a group of civilians because one of them had been a slave hunter a decade ago. And of course, his raid on Harpers Ferry that did not kick off a slave revolt, only made the South paranoid that the North wanted to kill them, and of course started with him killing a freed black man for the crime of "Not joining my revolution." Meanwhile, if you wanted an actual symbol of the Abolitionist cause who was actually effective at his job and was the badass people pretend Brown was, you would look to Cassius Clay, but the Left Wing has suppressed him for decades.
Just for clarification he's talking about Cassius Clay the politician from the 1860s, not the seditious black supremacist who converted to Islam and threw away the name a century later.
