I don’t think any gun deaths are worth it to protect 2A rights.
So...abolish the 2nd Amendment?! I want an answer here, do you support gun rights or not?
Because he's right that you're not getting gun deaths to zero. Do you disagree with that?
What exactly is your stance? Because he's right that you're going to have gun deaths, unless you could get rid of all guns. So unless you disagree with that (silly), you either want to get rid of all guns, or you do actually agree with him that we can't be utopianist and, whether you phrase it that way or not, some level of gun deaths are going to come with being a free society.
Not completely abolish, no, but I do think we need much more regulation. I myself own a gun. Currently, in some states, any mentally unstable thug can walk into a shop and buy a gun without so much as a background check, and we could use some limitations on that.
Cars have more regulations than guns in this country, let’s be honest.

You're either lying, or clueless. Because that's simply not true.
Also, the vast, vast majority of those "mentally unstable thugs" are already repeat offenders, and should be in prison or an asylum. They're also not buying guns legally, because they'd fail the background check.
We'd literally cut down gun deaths more by having a sane justice system, than by outlawing guns. As the saying goes, if guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.
Stop letting crazy felons murder Americans. There's a huge reduction in deaths right there. You're welcome.
He tipped his hand on the second quote there. Everybody gets background checks. There’s no gunshow loop holes. All that stuff’s made up. He knows that too.
We had less gun restrictions and less gun deaths until the 2000s onward. You can make arguments for gun control, but nobody actually makes them because they don’t hold up as well. If you had some hand of god come in and remove all guns from everyone on the planet and even the ability to make them then yes, you’d have less gun deaths. World probably would be better without guns. That’s about what it’d take to stop that though. Telling people that follow the law that they can’t have guns for self defense only leaves the ones for people not using them to defend themselves but to attack.
He tipped his hand in many ways. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, of course, but I'm not going top put much stock in the opinions of someone who is anti-gun, when it comes to (mis)interpreting Charlie, and defending people saying Charlie deserved it, or at least defended it.
While far from the most disgusting behavior involving Charlie's murder, it's still pretty disgusting.

OOF.

I agree wholeheartedly that the justice system is flawed. Both things can be fixed.
Gun rights don't need to be "fixed." Outside of that said rights need to stop being infringed upon by the government.
We need criminal control, not gun control. And we need to talk about SSRIs.
