On r/shitpoliticssays (one of the last sane subreddits), someone pointed out the use of empathy is stupid - that word has been overblown and abused by the left.
What we should have, is something called "rational compassion" - I think this is a more proper term because it means before you express your "empathy" or caring for something, you thought it through and made sure what you are being sympathetic for makes sense.
Basically, facts before feelings, using your brain before you let the emotional part of you to take over.
