You do realize that happened only after he joined the Axis. Prior to that he was one of the most popular politicians in the world.

You should study something other than jewish history to get a grip on this.

I know Mussolini was popular. I wasn't denying that. I was just pointing out that he wasn't nearly as popular as Hitler among his own people. Or at least didn't command as much loyalty. When things get tough is when you truly know how popular a leader actually is.
