Dragon Ball and more pulled from shelves amid Texas censorship bill
Retailers are already reacting to a recent Texas bill by pulling manga from shelves, including issues of Dragon Ball and more. The bill SB20 appears to have noble intentions with language going after…
Crunchyroll and less notably Sound Cadence are on the shitlist of woke companies so people would not give a damn about them, and Sentai Filmworks is a subsidiary of AMC.
Puritan conservatives do not give a shit about the media as they believe it should submit to their demands entirely, and they often slander people over non compliant media as demonstrated by the satanic panic, the violent media moral panic, and more recently the short lived "goonergate" scandal where several of these people in our own movement outed themselves by calling sexy women in media coomershit.
lol
You're in a forum that was created by a movement about how the media cannot be trusted whatsoever, yet here you are pushing their bullshit narrative. I suppose you think it was conservatives going after games at the time too.
It's funny how Hillary Clinton, Tipper Gore, and Joe Lieberman were on the warpath against gaming and music at the same time, to the point of holding congressional hearings, yet the only boogeyman we ever hear about from the time was the "satanic panic", and of course it never comes with any real world examples to back it up.
If you aren't stepping in what I am smelling, it's that the "satanic panic" was a media creation in line with the hysteria around the first Joker movie. The entire thing is a media created urban legend.
The satanic panic started in response to allegations of attacks by satanic cultists, which is a different subject
I use the term "satanic panic" to refer to an extremist backlash towards various media by puritan conservatives because they think it inspires cult activity. Aside from widespread defamation, said moral panic allegedly resulted in vandalism of stores and personal property, family violence, conflicts between school staff and parents, brawling, and even false police reports and attacks by corrupt cops with possible evidence planting.
Indeed. Yet those people are so rare as to be statistical noise, and have even less political power than their miniscule numbers would suggest. The only place they exist in any real numbers is in the imagination of liberals who are trying to weaponize our own principles against us.
Speaking of things that never happened...
Sound Cadence too, huh? That's a shame. I loved their dub of Gunbuster.
