The only thing I can say is that the Alpha strain clearly existed, and clearly fucked people up, and may have killed some (but I can't tell whether that's the result of ventilators & remdesivir, or if it's from the disease).
There were people who lost their sense of taste for a year and a half after getting the alpha strain, which seemed to have the most violent effects. But if you look at the initial reporting comparing Germany and Italy, people going to Italian hospitals were dying in droves being put on ventilators (85% fatality rate no one talks about anymore), and in Germany they were basically asked to suffer through it under observation.
It was definitely not the flu, and was initially worse than the flu... but was it that much worse? It seems pretty clear that the NIH was doing bio-weapon research that the Chinese may or may not have intentionally leaked into their own population to reduce public expenses on their own budget.
