The fact that Chen & her husband Liam Donovan mentioned that they are broke & "living abroad" suggests they left the US in April 2025 after their work visas expired but didn't return to Canada.
I doubt that they returned to China/Hong Kong which is the other jurisdiction I believe Chen has citizenship ties.
I don't blame them for not returning to Canada given Carney's victory.
TBH, in a lot of ways Pierre Poilievre's "Conservative" MPs were more bad faith & pro-Ukraine when they showboated in front of her last year when Chen got subpoenaed to attend a national security hearing remotely last year labeling her as a Russian asset.
