I'd argue that using the American Civil War to predict any 2nd Civil War (or almost any civil war worldwide for that matter) is a poor idea. The Civil War wasn't really a true Civil War except for border areas where it was truly divided. It was more two nations fighting each other. We avoided a lot of the horrific stuff that other places saw plenty of.
