There really is a problem with Gen Z and actually not working. I think with Millennials, so many of them are innately authoritarian (and were groomed that way by the public schools), that they literally did not know what to do if they weren't actively told or trained. No initiative, no work ethic, no discipline, no accountability, and then when you add Millennial cynicism onto that, you get people who choose to NEVER demonstrate those things, because: "Why in God's name would I put any effort in since you should never be trusted as an employer?"
Think about it: how the fuck can anyone work a real job if the employees are all distrustful, dysgenic mutants, with a social media addiction, and might be rabid narcissists. Worse, again, this is just the Millennials. Society has mind fucked Zoomers and Alpha similarly. The problems that the Millennials had have never even been addressed, let alone solved. We're all basically in the same boat at different ages.
Millennials got shit on by the 2008 recession, threw a tantrum with Occupy Wallsreet, then got fucked with rising real estate prices. Only the smart ones who took care of milestones early (marriage, vehicle, house, kids) managed to make it out ok.
That’s true, same for the Gen who came right after millennials, the Xennial Gen or whatever TF my generation is called. There was a tiny window for my Gen to get life squared away before the economy went to shit and housing prices skyrocketed, and I’m guessing only about 20% of Xennials got it done successfully, so everyone else in my Gen and those who came after are in a very bad situation, and they all know it.
Xennials (the "Oregon Trail Generation") are the transition from Gen X to Millennial.
Zennials are the transition from Millennial to Gen Z.
And yeah, they're pronounced the same way, which is why I prefer Oregon Trail Generation for the former. I don't know if Zennial also has a cutesy nickname to avoid this ambiguity.
