It seems desperate. Like they're afraid they're losing their own base. It would not surprise me as those doing this are above 50. Has some out of touch boomer feel.
You aren't wrong on a lot of these. They also had a CDC protest with signs and walkouts. All of it was people over 50 with some connections to the medical industry.
