Pretty sure its to 1. Make russians hesitant to shoot a pregnant woman. And 2. If the russians do shoot, it'll make the russians look bad.
Its probably mobile comfort women for the troops...
Russian army is famous for caring about its foreign prestige.
It's not about Russia caring, it's about Europe and USA caring. "Oh no, those evil Russians are shooting... armed soldiers, who happen to be pregnant and Ukraine sent to the front lines! Quick! Give Zelenski more money!"
The artillery shell does not see nor care upon whom it lands.
