That's not even close to true. How often have you seen a commercial and been convinced it's something you need? I kept getting ads for ulcers and talked to my doctor just to make sure. Not a single ulcer, but YouTube still thinks I have it.
Not looking at propaganda is propaganda in itself. Don't read Marx, just do as I tell you it says is not an answer.
Big case in point, during the 2016 election the left demonized reading a book by Donald Trump. They said reading it was the equivalent of reading Mein Kampf. If you had read the book you would have seen his style and how he understands things, and also where he screws up.
When the Wii came out, Nintendo promoted two books as their inspiration for the big change. How many people actually read those books and how many said it was false and needed to be ignored? It was treated as a bad idea until suddenly Microsoft had the Kinect and said the book was an 'inspiration'.
We studied Soviet propaganda in history classes to see how ideas were prompted. We could see how Mao prompted his red book, and connect that with the Red Guard wars a few years later. It made it obvious how much the same idea was promoted to kids today, and led to the riots in Seattle and other places during COVID.
Germany studied English propaganda to promote itself and not fall for old tricks. I wish we taught Soviet techniques while the Ostis moved into western Germany. At the very least we wouldn't have been caught up by sandals with socks.
I am reading a book about how capitalism caused government spying. It's entirely capable to read something, gain understanding, and disagree. Saying you cant means you are so simple any commands could work on you.
Why are you posting leftist memes? propaganda works upon viewing it, regardless of whether you know it's propaganda or not.

There's a difference between that and being bombarded with hundreds of propaganda pieces a day.
So I should be a lefty by now?
