Everything about that animation looks like 0 fucks were given. I think there's a non-zero chance they couldn't be bothered reorientating the cassette, or they're doing a deliberate "ironic-slop" aesthetic.
That is just slop.
I mean, yes, but it's definitely a choice made knowingly and played as a joke sometimes. It got pretty popular with those goat simulator games back in the day.
