Movies aren't made to be watched any more. They're made as an ideological show of force to remind us that the rich and powerful have the resources to dump 300 million dollars into what amounts to a 90 minute long Reddit post. Every time a movie like this comes out, it's just Hollywood saying "we're still in control and you can't do anything about it".
