The Renaissance Faire I went to was an absolute Tranny Fest (video is a random clip I recorded of my family - more text in the comment section) (www.youtube.com)

Sad to hear it. I went to one recently and it was a normal fair, it was even focused on medieval European with almost no fantasy.

I assume in a year or two it will have the same fate. At least I got to take my kids to it.

It's worth going to at least once. You will find lots of cool shops, blacksmithing shows, falconry shows, and jousting.

They're fine but I think it's best when you're some friends and getting drunk. I was with my kids so it was mostly just trying to keep an eye on them. Kids enjoyed it and I got food poisoning.

It's best experienced with the guys and copious amounts of beer.

Well I don’t have the tolerance for a lot of beer anymore but some coors lites will do. Comic cons have become infested with people who aren’t fans. Sad to hear these types of events have become infested. I enjoy small local cons so small renaissance fairs should be fun. Also, how is church going? Our church is already working on our big Oktoberfest event.

Ortodox churches don't do big events like that but we do celebrate a lot of saint days. We had Virgin Mary celebration on the 15th and we have another one on September 9th.
