It's worked so far. Lotta ugly, fat slobs out there, and they all can vote
They didn't let slaves train in ancient Greece so as to prevent an uprising. I think about that a lot.
And they wonder why they lose the young male vote. Their campaign might as well just be Andrew Tate with a little arrow saying "this is bad btw, don't support this"
