Women hate the idea of anything edging in on their monopoly on "oppression", sex, or manipulation.

Women are vile little creatures, narcissists, self absorbed, solipsistic, completely uninterested in anything outside of themselves. They only care for their young because biology/God realized how fucking evil they were, saw how they would abort their own offspring and murder it, kill them post birth, etc. so a failsafe was made to force them to care for their offspring. It still fails sometimes, hence "postpartum psychosis/depression".
