Edison was a keen businessman who valued inventions greatly.
He later went batshit insane and tortured dogs in public to push for DC power over Nicola Tesla's AC power, along with other sick things.
He also backed Marconi's fraudulent claims of inventing radio when it was Tesla who did that too.

Tesla invented a TON of stuff. He was a true genius but sadly never made any money off it.
