So what’s the point of having immigration laws? I remember when I worked for immigration you’d get sob stories from spouses about their husband/wife being deported. I couldn’t help but think you knew they were here illegally so wasn’t this always a possibility? They are free to go to their country to stay together
I always feel the same way. You’ll hear some couple that’s been together for 20 years here. One is a citizen. One is illegal. Then one gets deported.
In 20 years they did nothing to make their spouse a citizen? That just makes me think they wanted them gone. Or they’re retarded, in which case I want both gone.
Conversely, we have some illegal student programs out here at the major Universities. An illegal kid will get a full ride to a state school. They’ll be in the school in a program for illegals. All very public. One such kid was on video complaining that he was majoring in Mexican studies and wanted to do a semester abroad in Mexico where he’s from to go see his brother that lives there, but was afraid he wouldn’t be let back in the country because he’s here illegally and Trump got elected. It was framed as this heart breaking story. Was back in 2016 I think.
Motherfucker is from Mexico and majoring in Mexican studies and actively wants to go be there. Just go back at that point. He’s a Mexican citizen. He has family there he yearns to be with. A lot of Mexico is fine. He clearly thinks so if he’s majoring in Mexican studies and wants to study there. Stupidest fucking thing I’d ever seen.
My grandfather was never an American citizen. He was a Swedish man till the day he died. That being said, he came to the country legally, and always kept his visa up-to-date. Through the process of marrying my grandma and having my dad's family, he followed all the rules to live here as a legal immigrant.
And people wonder why I'm unsympathetic to illegal immigrants.
