The Justice Center for Constitutional Freedoms is a pretty small, solely individual donor supported, right-leaning, pro bono constitutional rights charity in Canada.
I would imagine they probably defended her case pro bono, but I doubt they have the resources to actually pay out her 100k penalty.
The JCCF has a lot of informal overlap with Ezra Levant, Rebel News & The Democracy Fund (which is Ezra's smaller & scammier pro bono legal outfit arising from COVID).
Levant never covers costs himself, he just does a lot of cringe e-begging.
I've seen JK Rowling tweet back to Hamm herself, so I suppose a megadonor Elon-style is possible. A big gap though between a tweet & 100k in legal fees.
