One of the most recent trends in the post COVID era is the mass importation of doctors who were never credentialed or took residency in the US. This is so prevalent now that as of July 2025, 17 states (mostly red states including Florida and Texas) have passed legislation requiring no residency or medical schooling for foreign doctors to practice in the US, 3 (Wa, Cal, NY) have limited licensing pending full, 7 have pending legislation for full, legislation has failed in 8 states.
This is constantly swept under the rug as health outcomes are getting worse and congress still refuses to tell the AMA to go fuck themselves and increase US trained doctors while eliminating DEI admits. It’s now going to be cheaper for an American to go to medical school and do residency overseas then come back to the US.
If you think the socialized Medicaid/care and pharmaceutical industry is corrupt now, wait until 500k more jeet doctors are imported.
Republicans have a giant schism between the old GOP boomer types and the younger "alt right memesters."
Those old guys only care about their money and and line go up. And fucking up the medical field so they get the good doctors and us poors are left with the public hospital Jeets and negros. Like most problems in this country, they assume (usually correctly) that NIMBY is in full effect and they can reap all the monetary and power benefits of these machinations while safe in their little bubbles.
Its why so many on the "Right" are not our allies and never have been. They are in it for the "no rules or regulations!" side of Conservatism to abuse the fuck out of everything for their own sake. Government exists only to bully out their competition.
The Democrats are a problem in all the ways we discuss regularly, but the Republican ranks are filled with these types. Its why every week this year we have a "Trump voting business owner shocked as ICE raids his warehouse!"
A big chunk of old time Republicans are just businessmen. Hence their whole obsession with gdp and the economy. And why so many of them are guilty of hiring illegal immigrants and refusing to actually protect the border.
Businessmen who got their foot in the door long ago, whether through slimy means or just outright nepobaby investments. So they are decades removed from both the reality of the country right now and having to actually work from the bottom at anything.
It makes most of them, even those who are tenuously on "our side," basically working against our interest most of the time. Either by trying to let their business, and partners, abuse us endlessly (under the guise of free market) or just outright selling off our country/community to whatever will make line go up.
And this did/does apply to Trump too, though he seems to have decided in his old age to dedicate the end of it to his "legacy" to be seen as this American Hero instead of just being richer and richer.
