i played in multiple clans in natural-selection. we still have the site and teamspeak going. jesus, some americans even got the source-code and made it viable for modern machines.
that is, in my opinion, the only practical way forward.
back then we pooled together to rent a server with ppl spawning continents, then learned how to admin and host servers.
we wrote our own fucking league-sites and scrim-bots.
you only can pick up your friends children, not to troon them, but to show them all the old games.
i'm hosting unreal-tournament, quake1 and 2, ns, action-hl and a minecraft server myself.
you don't need to do shit, just give the parents admin access and they will be happy that they can leave their kids alone, but contained
Damn. I love natural selection. What clan? BAD? You guys play 1 or 2? I remember turtling in one map.. forgot the name, maybe caged or tanith. We, as marines, turtled in a hive for like 2 hrs until aliens raged quited lol or i remember the times of a gorge fort in a vent.
I prefer 1 over 2.. had all the cool maps. What was that siege map that had a secret porn room?? Those were the times bro.
Also played empires mod. It was similar with commander top down placing resources, doing research, and the rest of the players was fps.
i played in multiple clans. ensl.org when the leagues where still going for 1. nowadays it sadly isn't playable anymore because the americans are such immense faggots only trolling and ruining the gathers.
