The lore still exists. The stories still exists. What, genuinely do you think happens with this supposed “dilution”? That not everyone plays dnd the same way?

Most people are fine playing something that isn’t perfectly fleshed out if it’s new and interesting
And, get this, you can still play the more perfected old style if you like to! It’s still fine.
