Was 1/3 third Mexican then, but they were actually Mexican. Indians, Filipinos and Vietnamese were probably 5 percent combined. Arabs darn rare. Persians also seemed rare, but also could generally pass as white until they said their name. Pakistanis were the main Muslims you would come across. The Muslims you would see dressed like normies. Indians had the most identifyingly foreign dress.
A few years back I actually got mildly excited when I walked past a construction crew playing Mexican music. "Those Mexicans are actually Mexican", I said to myself. Now, most hispanics are Central American.
Arabs still aren't a huge portion, but something as utterly foreign as a hijab is not an uncommon sight.
