And that's actually the point. I don't think there was ever any genetic pre-disposition of sister-fucking that ancient peoples living in the Indus mountains and deserts had. Pedastry was introduced by Greek culture and never really purged. Islam promoted aggression, pedastry of a different gender, and selected for violence, unthinking obedience, and incest.
Religion, by being a kind of social sex-selector, can create shocking patterns that groups groups wouldn't be pre-disposed to in a natural environment.
