Nothing will change until people start leaving the likes of Steam in their millions and we go back to a pre-2005 gaming economy where you just buy the game, install and crack it, and join an independent companion forum for tech support and modding.

We need a proper alternative. Playnite is decent, but not as good as steam yet.
