Iraq-Iran war doesn't count? Both sides occupied chunks of each other's territory for years. Other than that, I'm having to look all the way back to the war they started in 602 for Persians successfully invading someone, though that one was also a pyrrhic stalemate.
There's not been an actual Iranian invasion of another country in 250 years, so I guess this is the best they can do.

Sure, but they successfully counterattacked across the border and held enemy territory, so it depends on how literally you want to use "invade".
The word "invasion" didnt used to have any morality attached to it, and still shouldn't.
