Gender Neutral Space Marines

Warhammer has dropped language that says Space Marines are only male. This article praises it.

To answer the question I had by a few others who thought I meant Custodes. It's Space Marines and it's getting praise from lefty ville.

I think conservatives should be careful what they wish for. The Heresy 2.0 description invoked scientific language, but Space Marines don't stand up to scientific scrutiny. Our guide to the Space Marine organs was compiled by a medical doctor in consultation with other medical specialists from several fields, who determined that the majority of the organs could not possibly work as described - their functions were self-contradicting.

I'm so sick of this excuse coming out in fantasy and sci-fi.

"You don't like <stupid new thing> in <franchise>? Well, <franchise> has <impossible thing> and <other impossible thing>, therefore <stupid new thing> is fine!"

Verisimilitude is key in good fantasy/sci-fi but that doesn't mean anything goes.
