For the record, that's the first investigation we already know most of the information on already, including the victims names and it was what he was actually arrested for the first time.
It was one of the biggest travesties of justice ever, and he was literally allowed 12 hours per day of work release to just leave jail whenever he wanted. His door wasn't locked and he had his own personal break room in the jail to hang out, and he basically just had to sleep in the cell as his only restriction. The DA of Florida, Alex Accosta, and Alan Dershowitz literally granted him and 4 unnamed co-conspirators a plea deal with immunity to all federal charges, without telling the FBI (who were mid major investigation on him), to shut it all down fast without any names getting out. Accosta said he did it because Epstein "belonged to intelligence" and was "well above his paygrade" and was being told to make it all disappear, so make of that what you will.
I imagine all the transcripts would belong to those discussions if anything, as we have access to most of the rest of the case. Including the fact that 14 was the youngest girl they could find at the time, which is only interesting as that means it wasn't technically pedo shit he was doing (though still sex with a minor, of course). Its information we should absolutely have regardless, as that's some major information hiding in there, but this is just an important distinction.
The case everyone really cares about is the 2019 investigation, which is where all the things you already know and are upset about happened and we could probably get some actual new information out if unsealed.
That was from the newly elected Republican DA. The Media attacked it as a "slap on the wrist" so he went public with details. The former (Democrat) DA had offered a plea deal... with NO time, NO sex offender registry, nothing. Suddenly the Media went "full embargo" on the story.
So the (Democrat) Judge refusing to allow the facts to be seen is no surprise at all. Her husband was the first DA, eh?
