The two members of the ruling coalition, the LDP and the Buddhist tradcon Komeito party have both lost seats, but the opposition "Social Democrat" coalition didn't gain any. The only parties that look to have made substantial gains are Sanseito and the centrist party. Even if the centrists coalition with the CDP social-democrats and all of the fringe left-wing parties, they still won't have enough seats to form a majorty.
The result is that the LDP governing coalition will still probably have majority support, but only by expanding their coalition beyond just them and Komeito, which they can only do by courting parties that will pull them to the right, either Sanseito or Ishin.
