I’d say you are mostly right since white males are the number one boogeyman it seems but I’ve seen Hispanic culture criticized for being “macho” and they love black gay men in entertainment. I remember that Shaft movie with Samuel Jackson was criticized for “toxic masculinity”.
Macho Hispanic culture glorifies being a barbarian dressed up in civilian clothes, something akin to the late Roman era.
