The saving grace is that they're good at subverting institutions not building them. They weasel into the programing of established moral systems, pervert the language and re-direct its outputs towards their ends.
Kids are un-built institutions, and despite what the Tower would have you believe. Its really hard to direct somebody' emotional and intellectual development with any accuracy. Genetics are too unpredictable even just between siblings.
So leftists try to indoctrinate, but it's something they're largely bad at. They're too anti structural, and their language of subversion doesn't have a good loop kill. The right wing is much, much better at indoctrination because it values structure for its own sake in a way that leftist does not, and values consistency along with simplicity. The concept of "intersectionality" DEMANDS nuance, things can be unforgivable or required depending on the circumstances, Right wing ideologies don't have that nearly as much.
A right winger might say that black people are incompatible with civilization, but admit that the occasional black person can be an exception. The left meanwhile demands that blacks be treated as unquestioned authorities on morality at some moments, and in others be comepltely ignored as irrelevant, depending on the topic.
While both don't have an absolute consistency, the Left version of this INVERTS it's truth, rather than shuffling it's feet vaguely and claiming a grey area.
Indoctrination is based on simplicity. Convictions must be clunky, secure, and unquestioned, trust in the principles must not lead one into confusion.
