Rugby is the only variety of football any real man has time for.
CFL football is pretty good too. Better than the NFL.
It suffers from a lot of the same malaise as the NFL, where you're lucky if you get two straight minutes of play before somebody throws a flag and everybody stands around scratching their asses for ten minutes while the broadcaster uses it as an excuse to shove more ads in your face. In rugby the rules are designed to keep the game going for as long as possible.
Where's the canadians?
Roughly half the players on the field are always Canadians.
Yes, a lot of them are Black because Canada is seen as very welcoming to Blacks. If your 10 year-old kid is showing athletic talent & you live in Jamaica? Move to Canada for your best hope of him being a pro someday.
How the hell is that even possible?
The "rouge" is where 1 point is awarded to a team for a missed field goal that isn't run out of the endzone (it's a live ball unless it hits the posts) OR a punt or kickoff that travels into or through the endzone & the player takes a knee.
They get to scrimmage the ball out on the 25 or 40 yardline, depending.
It makes the game more fun! 😊
