I've railed against Dispensationalists before, in particular evangelicals, and here we have the confessions of one who was one, but has now seen the light.

Read that and really understand how deep Jews have gotten their hooks into those people. Sadly, there is no saving most of them, they are just too far gone. Thankfully, their power is waning, because, being mostly boomers, they are rapidly dying off.
I had trouble taking him seriously when he started blaming the KJV of the Bible for being a big part of Christian Zionism. Maybe it was too poetic for him and he likes the ESV better, but it is not a "Rah Rah! Hurray for Jews!" translation. If anything it condemns Israelites, Jews, and Gentiles who see the truth of God and reject it. It uplifts those who try to follow and repent their sins, even if they fail.
I can't see any translation holding a different viewpoint unless it was completely butchered from the original text on purpose. Perhaps I misread what he said? Was he saying that many churches that used that translation were hardest hit with ideological attacks, and therefore fell into false doctrine?
I personally prefer the NKJ myself, and like you, don't know where his antipathy comes from
