I find it deeply hypocritical that all the people screaming 'women are basically just children'...still keep blaming the women/children.

I think this stems from the fact that we're made to treat them as if they are adults at gunpoint by the state. If they are to be treated as equals then they will also be judged as equals and that judgement will continuously find them lacking because they're incapable of measuring up.
