I'm reminded of when Brandon Herrera tried to get elected.
I think it was AIPAC that bragged about supporting his opponent and helping to get him elected.
Cue flood of people wondering why the absolute fuck a state-level minor political guy would be getting major support from a jewish lobby group.
Yet, with all that big money and support behind him, he only won the primary runoff by less than 400 votes. Say what you want about how Brandon Herrera could have done better, a no-name (in terms of the field of politics) getting that close to a win was clearly enough to make them sweat.
Here's hoping Brandon tries again next year.
