I think both of them are an issue. Islam does not allow women to allow non-Muslim men (other way is OK as long as they brianwash their kids into the cult). Now, even if only a minority of Iranians have a problem with a (nominally) Muslim woman marrying a Jewish man (a big if), a royal family is supposed to be unifying the country. You can't have them do things that a large portion of the population abhors. It's just more proof that these Iranian Chalabis aren't even serious, because otherwise they'd clean up their act. They want to be airdropped into power on the back of a foreign army (or airforce) while not having the responsibilities of real monarchs.
